Myanmar approves local telecom company to trade on Yangon Stock Exchange

YANGON, Dec. 13 (Xinhua) -- Myanmar's Yangon Stock Exchange (YSX) has approved TMH Telecom Public Co.,Ltd as the fifth listed company to trade on the exchange after scrutiny and deliberate listing examination in accordance with law , according to a press release for TMH Listing and IPO Road Show-2017 on Wednesday.

Established in 2006, the TMH provides telecom services including fixed lined network service, mobile network service and transmission network service.

The TMH has 12 branches in Yangon, Mandalay, Sagaing and other regions.

The Myanmar Securities Exchange, a joint venture between Myanmar Economic Bank and Japan's Daiwa Securities Group will be a lead underwriter to the TMH.

The listing date of the TMH is estimated to set for Jan. 4 next year.

At present, four listed companies -- First Myanmar Investment (FMI), Myanmar Thilawa SEZ Holdings (MTSH), Myanmar Citizens Bank (MCB) and First Private Bank (FPB) are being traded on YSX.

Jointly owned by the Myanmar Economic Bank, Japan's Daiwa Securities and the Japan Exchange Group, the YSX officially began trading on March 25, 2016.
