MADRID, Jan. 12 (Xinhua) -- Spanish shares gained on Friday with the benchmark stock market index Ibex-35 up 0.26 percent, or 27.20 points, to close at 10,462.40 points.
A total of 20 of the selected 35 large companies gained in the day.
Supermarket chain DIA advanced 4.25 percent, followed by steel manufacturing corporation ArcelorMittal and Spain's second-largest bank BBVA that rose 1.58 percent and 1.42 percent respectively.
Global operator of services and infrastructure Ferrovial went down 1.53 percent, being the top loser of the blue chips. Engineering and infrastructure company Tecnicas Reunidas went down 0.98 percent and Telecommunication company Cellnex was down 0.74 percent. Enditem
