Indian markets open higher

MUMBAI, Jan. 19 (Xinhua) -- Indian markets opened higher Friday.

Equity benchmarks extended gains in opening trade, following positive global cues.

The benchmark S&P BSE Sensex opened at 35,325.65, 65.36 points or 0.21 percent up compared to its previous close at 35,260.29.
