Member list of 13th CPPCC National Committee released

BEIJING, Jan. 25 (Xinhua) -- The full list of members of the 13th National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) has been released.

Consisting of 2,158 names, the list was approved at the 24th session of the Standing Committee of the 12th CPPCC Standing Committee, which concluded Wednesday.

A total of 859 are from the Communist Party of China, accounting for 39.8 percent of listed members.

The list featured members from all 56 ethnic groups of China.

The average age of members is 55.9, and 1,971 of them hold college degrees or above, with 105 academicians of the Chinese Academy of Sciences and the Chinese Academy of Engineering.
