KIEV, Jan. 26 (Xinhua) -- Ukraine's agricultural exports reached 17.9 billion U.S. dollars last year, the highest level since 2012, official figures on Friday indicated.
The Agriculture Ministry said exports rose by 16.3 percent compared with 2016, driven by increasing supplies of grain, vegetable oils and seeds.
In addition, Ukraine increased exports of processed food products such as sugar, malt extract, flour, vegetables, legumes and beef, the ministry said.
China was the fifth largest importer of agricultural commodities from Ukraine last year, purchasing products worth more than 1 billion U.S. dollars.
Other major importers of Ukrainian goods were India, the Netherlands, Egypt and Spain.
