BRUSSELS, Feb. 1 (Xinhua) -- The trial of Salah Abdeslam, the sole surviving suspect of the Paris terror attacks on Nov. 13, 2015, will be held on Feb. 5 at the Royal palace of Justice in Brussels, confirmed the Belgian federal prosecutor's office on Thursday in a press release.

Other details of the trial have remained uncertain.

However, it has been established that Abdeslam will be brought to the Brussels court house from the prison of Vendin-le-Vieil in the Pas-de-Calais of France, where he will be transferred before the trial from Fleury-Merogis, also in France.

Abdeslam was arrested during a large police operation in the Rue des Quatre Vents in Molenbeek, Brussels, 127 days after the Paris bombings.

Arrangements have been made to accommodate the suspect. Two cells were equipped with surveillance cameras to observe the slightest act and deed of the defendant. A monitoring station will be installed between the two cells.

The Palace of Justice of Law Courts of Brussels will open its doors at 6:30 a.m. on February 5. Massive security measures and forces will be taken and dispatched around the court.
