Liaoning smashes Jilin to set up a three-game winning streak

CHANGCHUN, China, Feb. 2 (Xinhua) -- In the absence of point guard Guo Ailun, Lester Hudson scored 39 points to help Liaoning beat Jilin 114-99 and extend its winning streak to three in the 34th round of the 2017-2018 Chinese Basketball Association (CBA) league Friday evening.

Liaoning took the lead from the very beginning with an explosion of three-pointers. Jilin tried to cut the deficit constantly with Liu Tianyi and Gao Shiyan scoring consecutively.

Strengthening its interior lines, Liaoning came out strong in the next half and extended the gap to double digits in the last quarter en route to the eventual victory.

Lester Hudson led Liaoning with 39 points, eight rebounds and four assists, Brandon Bass also contributed 20 points, while Zhao Jiwei had 14 points and Li Xiaoxu made 13 points.

Carl Landry scored 24 points, 11 rebounds and four assists for Jilin. Cai Lilong and Zhang Biao made 20 points apiece, and Cui Jinming added 11 points and seven rebounds.
