Spain attentive to economic reforms in Angola

LUANDA, Feb. 2 (Xinhua) -- The visiting Spanish Secretary for Foreign Affairs Ildefonso Castro Lopez said here on Friday that his government has been following the process of economic reforms implemented by the Angolan government.

Speaking to the press after a meeting with the Angolan Finance Minister Archer Mangueira, the Spanish diplomat highlighted the political will between the two countries to strengthen cooperation in the financial field.

In the course of the various meetings, the delegations of the two countries discussed issues related to the strengthening of bilateral relations in the areas of agriculture, fisheries, higher education and Oil.

Lopez started his two-day working visit to Angola on Thursday ahead of a Spanish delegation in the framework of political consultations between both countries.

The Spanish minister also announced the intention of Spanish leader to visit Angola in March or April of this year.

Angolan President Joao Lourenco visited Spain in 2017 in the position of Defense Minister.
