PYEONGCHANG, Feb. 13 (Xinhua) -- American short track speed skater Maame Biney said she will look to the future after finishing last in her 500m quarterfinal at the PyeongChang Winter Games on Tuesday.

"I'm still young. I've learned that I just can't afford to underestimate anyone and I just have to go out there and do my best. I'm still in that learning process of how to get back really quick when I get bumped at the start. That doesn't normally happen to me. I'm going to have to figure out how to get back into the rhythm of a race," Biney said.

Asked about why her race went wrong, she said: "I lost my rhythm throughout the whole race and I couldn't find it again. Over the next four years, I'm going to try to find that rhythm and just keep going."
