RABAT, Feb. 15 (Xinhua) -- The Moroccan government is fully mobilized to support Morocco's bid to host the 2026 FIFA World Cup, the Prime Minister, Saad Eddine El Othmani, said here on Thursday.

The government will fulfil all the "necessary commitments" to win the bid for the 2026 tournament, El Othmani said at the Cabinet weekly meeting.

The government supports the program set up by the Bid Committee and will interact positively with this program through proposals and remarks, he pointed out.

He also called on all the society to provide the necessary support to Morocco's bid to host the 2026 FIFA World Cup.

Morocco submitted last August their application to host the 2026 World Cup to the world football governing body FIFA, positioning themselves as the sole challengers to the joint submission from Canada, Mexico and the United States.

This is Morocco's fifth bid to host the World Cup, after their unsuccessful bids for the 1994, 1998, 2006 and 2010 editions of the tournament.

FIFA will make the decision at FIFA Congress on June 13 in Moscow, Russia, on the eve of the opening match of the 2018 FIFA World Cup.
