SINGAPORE, Feb. 19 (Xinhua) -- Singaporean stocks closed up on Monday, with the benchmark Straits Times Index (STI) wend up 1.29 percent or 44.37 points to close at 3,487.88.
A total of 1.38 billion shares changed hands with a turnover of 1.12 billion Singapore dollars (about 851.97 million U.S. dollars). Gainers outnumbered losers by 349 to 108.
The STI index closed up 1.19 percent or 40.65 points to close at 3,443.51 last Thursday.
