BEIJING, Feb. 19 (Xinhua) -- Beijing's per capita property income surged 13.1 percent year on year in 2017, 3.4 percentage points higher than the previous year, the municipal statistics bureau said.

Net property income hit 9,306 yuan (about 1,467 U.S. dollars) on average last year, the bureau said.

The growth was attributed to diversified investment and new business channels.

In 2017, Beijing's per capita disposable income stood at 57,230 yuan, up 6.9 percent in real terms, 0.2 percentage point higher than the GDP growth during the same period, it said.

Beijing's economy grew 6.7 percent in 2017, lower than the 6.8 percent in 2016.

Wages and salaries still account for the majority of the disposable income in Beijing.

Beijing's per capita income from wages and salaries increased 6.4 percent year on year to 35,217 yuan last year, according to the bureau.
