YANGON, Feb. 21 (Xinhua) -- Two women were killed and 11 others injured in a bomb blast near Yoma bank and AYA bank in Lashio, Myanmar's Shan state on Wednesday afternoon, according to a press release from the country's Information Ministry.
The explosion hit Yoma bank, affecting nearby AYA bank at 04:30 p.m. local time with window glass smashed and cars parking nearby destroyed.
Those injured were brought to the Lashio General Hospital for urgent treatment.
An investigation on the incident is underway by the authorities.
