CHICAGO, Feb. 21 (Xinhua) -- Gold futures on the COMEX division of the New York Mercantile Exchange rose slightly on Wednesday, ahead of release of minutes from the Federal Reserve's meeting in January.

The most active gold contract for April delivery edged up 90 U.S. cents, or 0.07 percent, to close at 1,332.1 dollars per ounce.

Technical buying boosted gold futures after its biggest one-day slide in two months on Tuesday, traders said.

As for other precious metals, silver for March delivery added 17.9 cents, or 1.09 percent, to settle at 16.617 dollars per ounce. Platinum for April went down 7.4 dollars, or 0.74 percent, to close at 996.6 dollars per ounce.
