FRANKFURT, Feb. 22 (Xinhua) -- German stocks closed flat on Thursday, with the benchmark DAX index down 8.58 points, or 0.07 percent, to close at 12,461.91 points.
German telecommunications company Deutsche Telekom lost 2.59 percent, the top loser among the blue chips, followed by personal-care company Beiersdorf and multinational building materials company HeidelbergCement, which lost 1.65 and 1.34 percent respectively.
European mass media company ProSiebenSat.1 gained 2.98 percent, becoming the top gainer. Chemical and consumer goods company Henkel advanced 2.54 percent. Marketplace organizer for the trading of shares and securities Deutsche Boerse group went up by 1.53 percent.
Deutsche Telekom was the most traded share with a turnover of 437.30 million euros (536.82 million U.S. dollars). Enditem
