Chinese shares mixed at midday Wednesday

BEIJING, March 7 (Xinhua) -- China's major stock indices closed mixed in the morning session on Wednesday, with the benchmark Shanghai Composite Index up 0.14 percent to end at 3,294.24 points.

The Shenzhen Component Index dropped 0.3 percent to end at 10,974.95.
