TEHRAN, March 7 (Xinhua) -- A huge explosion followed by the fire hit a military base in the southwestern Iranian city of Dezful, state IRIB TV reported.
The fire broke out in 292 Armored Garrison of Dezful and then it was spread to the arsenal depot which caused the explosion, the report said.
The explosion was heard in Andimeshk city 15 kilometers away, it added.
The people in the surrounding of the incident are evacuated.
The governor of Dezful said that nobody has been hurt in the incident and rescue operators are busy to contain the fire.
The accident has caused heavy traffic on the road from Dezful to Andimeshk.
