FRANKFURT, March 9 (Xinhua) -- German stocks closed flat on Friday, with the benchmark DAX index down 8.89 points, or 0.07 percent, to close at 12,346.68 points.
German airlines Lufthansa lost 5.17 percent, the top loser among the blue chips, followed by housing association Vonovia and Deutsche Post, which lost 2.19 and 1.48 percent respectively.
Consumer goods company Henkel gained 1.26 percent, becoming the top gainer. Energy group RWE advanced 1.21 percent. Multinational building materials company HeidelbergCement went up by 1.17 percent.
Automotive manufacturer Daimler was the most traded share with a turnover of 288.76 million euros (354.91 million U.S. dollars). Enditem
