Dollar stays in upper 106 yen zone amid U.S. foreign policy uncertainties

TOKYO, March 14 (Xinhua) -- The U.S. dollar stayed in the upper 106 yen zone Wednesday in Tokyo amid uncertainties after U.S. President Donald Trump fired Secretary of State Rex Tillerson.

At 5 p.m., the dollar was quoted at 106.60-61 yen compared with 106.53-63 yen in New York and 106.97-98 yen in Tokyo at 5 p.m. Tuesday. It moved between 106.38 yen and 106.75 yen during the day.

The euro fetched 1.2388-2389 dollars and 132.06-10 yen against 1.2385-2395 dollars and 131.95-132.05 yen in New York and 1.2318-2320 dollars and 131.77-81 yen in Tokyo late Tuesday afternoon.
