CHICAGO, March 14 (Xinhua) -- Chicago Board of Trade (CBOT) futures were trading mixed on Wednesday morning with wheat futures experiencing ups and downs.

As of 1451 GMT, May corn was down 0.25 cent at 3.915 U.S. dollars per bushel while May wheat was up 2.25 cents at 4.8875 dollars, and May soybeans down 0.5 cent at 10.4825 dollars per bushel.

Although latest weather forecast has offered improving rain chances for Nebraska and the northern and eastern fringe of Kansas, all parts of wheat-producing U.S. plains, there's no clear relief in sight for growers in the region.

Market observers said the drought, which has hit the U.S. plains in the past several months, continued to underpin wheat futures. CBOT wheat was lower during overnight trading but in the morning session, it started to rise again.
