HOHHOT, China, March 17 (Xinhua) -- Shandong Luneng made the team's best start in the Chinese Super League (CSL) as they overcame Hebei China Fortune 2-1 on Saturday for their third straight victory to rank atop the standings.

To the surprising late snowfall in Langfang, Hebei, the visitors adapted much more better as Brazilian striker Diego Tardelli broke the deadlock in the 33rd minute.

Hebei China Fortune found the equalizer five minutes later, as Song Wenjie slammed home from a free kick combination.

Tardelli then helped visiting Shandong to regain the lead early in the second half.

Former Paris Saint-Germain player Ezequiel Lavezzi missed the golden chance for another equalizer when Shandong goalkeeper Wang Dalei stopped his kick during the dying minutes.

Elsewhere on Saturday, Chongqing Lifan smashed visiting Jiangsu Suning 4-1 for their second defeat of the new season.

Newly promoted Dalian Yifang suffered a three-game losing streak as they lost to Beijing Guoan 3-0 on Friday.
