Dollar changes hands close to 106 yen line in early trade in Tokyo

TOKYO, March 19 (Xinhua) -- The U.S. dollar changed hands close to the the 106 yen line in early deals in Tokyo on Monday, largely unchanged from its levels at the end of last week in New York.

As markets opened here, the dollar was quoted at 105.97-98 yen compared with 105.93-106.03 yen in New York and 105.65-66 yen at 5 p.m. on Friday in Tokyo.

The euro, meanwhile, fetched 1.2280-2280 dollars and 130.15-19 yen against 1.2285-2295 dollars and 130.27-37 yen in New York and 1.2317-2319 dollars and 130.13-17 yen in late Friday afternoon trade in Tokyo.
