PARIS, March 20 (Xinhua) -- French shares edged up on Tuesday, with the benchmark Paris CAC 40 up 0.57 percent, or 29.59 points, to close at 5,252.43 points.
A total of 31 of the 40 selected large companies gained in the day.
UK-based company providing complete project life cycle services TechnipFMC advanced 2.66 percent, the top gainer of the blue chips. French international luxury group Kering gained 2.51 percent. European multinational luxury goods conglomerate LVMH rose 2.26 percent.
French multinational advertising and public relations company Publicis Groupe edged down 4.03 percent, the top loser of the blue chips. French transnational company Veolia Environment went down by 1.59 percent, French multinational pharmaceutical company Sanofi lost 0.56 percent. Enditem
