Ulan Bator, Belarus to cooperate on transport, farming, other areas

ULAN BATOR, March 30 (Xinhua) -- Mongolian capital Ulan Bator will expand cooperation with Belarus in a wide range of areas, including public transportation, intensive farming and urban landscaping, the mayor's press office said Friday.

An agreement was reached during the meeting between Ulan Bator Mayor Sundui Batbold and visiting Belarusian Minister of Industry Vitaly Vovk earlier in the day.

During the meeting, the Belarusian side also proposed to build an elevator factory in Ulan Bator, where elevators in apartment buildings are mostly ancient. Currently, Mongolia imports elevators from China.
