SAN FRANCISCO, April 3 (Xinhua) -- U.S. top aircraft manufacturer Boeing Company (Boeing) announced Tuesday that it has finalized a new order from an American aircraft leasing company for eight more 737 MAX airlines.

Boeing said it has signed a deal with Air Lease Corp.(ALC), an American aircraft leasing firm founded in 2010, to sell the aircraft at 936.8 million U.S. dollars at list prices.

The ALC said it owns 213 various kinds of aircraft including Boeing, French-made Airbus, Embraer and other models, and the latest order raises its total 737 MAX orders to 138.

It leases the jets to over 80 airlines across 47 countries in every major geographical region in the world.

Boeing said the ALC has been a big buyer of the improved 737 airplane.

"Our success in MAX placements to date speaks to the strong market demand for these aircraft," which reflected the growing need of its customers for additional 737 MAX 8 aircraft, said John Poerschke, executive vice president of Air Lease Corporation.

The 737 MAX family is the fastest-selling airplane in Boeing history, accumulating more than 4,400 orders from 96 customers worldwide.

Boeing has delivered more than 100 737 MAX airplanes to over 20 customers worldwide, including four to the ALC.
