BEIRUT, April 4 (Xinhua) -- Hezbollah, a militant organization based in Lebanon, said it is not a "war fanatic" but reiterated its readiness to defend Lebanon against any future "Israeli aggression," al-Joumhouria daily reported Wednesday.
"There are no real chances of war between Lebanon and Israel, or between the enemy and countries of axis of the resistance. But it seems the Israelis have lost their minds in the light of the great victories achieved by the axis of resistance in Syria," unnamed sources from Hezbollah said.
The daily quoted the sources saying that Hezbollah chief Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah has responded to Israeli threats and stressed that Hezbollah is not a war fanatic, but will always be ready to defend Lebanon.
The remarks came in response to Israeli chief of staff Gadi Eisenkot's recent statements that Israel still has a lot of work to do to slow down Hezbollah's progress.
The Israeli official said Israel has tens of thousands of opportunities to harm Hezbollah.
