SHANGHAI, April 4 (Xinhua) -- Hulk missed a penalty but one point was enough for the Chinese Super League side Shanghai SIPG to secure the top place in the Group F of the AFC Champions League as they settle for 1-1 against Kawasaki Frontale here on Wednesday.

Shanghai SIPG had moved into the last 16 after last round while Kawasaki Frontale ranked bottom with only one point.

Kawasaki Frontale tested the hosts in the 11th minute when veteran Yoshito Okubo fired 30 meters out of the box, Yan Junling flew to parry it away.

SIPG should've taken the lead on 22 minutes when Akhmedov Odil was tripped in the box but Hulk failed to convert the penalty.

Kawasaki Frontale almost punished SIPG when Hidemasa Morita burst into the box and rolled across but Yusuke Tasaka failed to get on the end of his pass when facing an empty net.

Wu Lei also squandered a good chance just 2 minutes after the break when he surged forward and shook off the defender, but his poor attempt turned into a clearance.

SIPG finally found the net in the 67th minute as Hulk atoned for his error by sprinting down the left and crossing for Elkeson to place a snooker shot into the net.

However, Kawasaki Frontale scored the equalizer 7 minutes later when Kei Chinen's header met Shintaro Kurumaya's cross to beat Yan Junling.
