TEHRAN, April 7 (Xinhua) -- Iran and Turkey signed an agreement on agricultural cooperation at the Iranian Chamber of Commerce, Industries, Mines and Agriculture (ICCIMA) on Saturday.

Based on the agreement, both countries plan to utilize their full capacities to produce healthy and quality food for themselves as well as other countries in the region, Tehran Times reported.

Member of ICCIMA Board of Directors, Hossein Pirmoazzen, said in the signing ceremony that the food industry is one of the main fields for cooperation between Iran and Turkey.

The two sides have agreed on construction of joint modern industrial parks in Iranian provinces of Qazvin and Qom and some other regions, Pirmoazzen said.

The two neighboring countries have been negotiating construction of joint industrial parks during the recent years.
