MADRID, April 19 (Xinhua) -- Spanish shares gained on Thursday, with the benchmark stock market index Ibex-35 up 0.11 percent or 10.70 points.
A total of 21 of the selected 35 large companies gained in the day.
Spain's fourth largest bank Bankia advanced 2.20 percent, being the top gainer of the day. Spain's seventh largest bank Bankinter rose 1.90 percent and infrastructure company Tecnicas Reunidas was up 1.86 percent.
Hotel chain Melia Hotels lost 2.29 percent, being the top loser of the blue chips. Consultancy and technology company Indra A went down 1.42 percent and world's leading retailer Inditex was down 1.32 percent. Enditem
