HANOI, April 24 (Xinhua) -- Five Vietnamese coaches could take charge of international football clubs after they finished a course by the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) recently, the Vietnam News Agency reported on Tuesday.
The AFC Professional Football Coaching Diploma, which is also known as the AFC Pro Diploma, is the highest level of coaching accreditation issued by the AFC. The Asian football governing body considers it the equivalent of the UEFA Pro License.
After the two-year course, five Vietnamese coaches have graduated and received their diplomas: Phan Thanh Hung, Nguyen Duc Thang, Nguyen Huu Thang, Nguyen Minh Phuong and Le Huynh Duc.
AFC rules dictate that from January 2020, only coaches who have an AFC Pro Diploma can take charge of national teams.
