BUDAPEST, April 29 (Xinhua) -- Italian player Marco Cecchinato won the Gazprom Hungarian Open ATP tournament, defeating John Millman from Australia, here on Sunday.

Cecchinato beat Millman 7-5, 6-4 in the final. The 25-year-old Italian, world number 92, clinched his first ATP title in Budapest, where he reached the final as a lucky loser, having lost in the qualifying round.

Cecchinato said that his dream was to be in the Top 100 of the ATP Rankings, but he never thought he would win an ATP World Tour title.

In the doubles final, the British-Croatian duo of Dominic Inglot and Frank Skugor defeated the Matwe Middelkoop of Netherlands and Andres Molteni from Argentina 6-7 (8), 6-1, 10-8.
