WASHINGTON, May 4 (Xinhua) -- The Boston Celtics erased a 22-point deficit to beat the Philadelphia 76ers 108-103 on Thursday to take a 2-0 lead in their NBA Eastern Conference playoff series.

Jayson Tatum led the Celtics with 21 points as six Boston players scored double figures despite the injury absences of Kyrie Irving, Gordon Hayward and Daniel Theis.

"That's the story of our season. We've been down countless times. We've been down guys. But we have a never say die mentality." Tatum said after the game.

JJ Redick scored a team-high 23 points for 76ers. Robert Covington had 22 and Joel Embiid added 20.

76ers took the lead in the fourth quarter before Boston firing back with an 11-5 run with less than four minutes and held on for the win.
