Su Junwei, head of the international cooperation department of the China-Russia scientific and technological park at the base, said since establishment of the base in 1998, a growing number of joint projects in agriculture, new material, marine farming and exploration, and pharmaceutical industries have been implemented.

The base has a set of favorable policies to boost technological cooperation. It offers rent cuts, tax incentives and makes it easier for companies to hire talent. Law firms, accountants, consultation companies and capital assessment organizations have offices in the base.

The base said it has cooperation with 200 foreign companies and academic institutes such as the Russia Academy of Sciences.

Nikolay Yudin, founder of Russian company Una Wheel, spoke highly of the local investment environment, noting that businesses in the demonstration base enjoy preferential policies, abundant supporting facilities as well as efficient logistics.
