TIANJIN, May 7 (Xinhua) -- Portuguese Paulo Sousa, head coach of Chinese Super League side Tianjin Quanjian, said Monday his team had nothing to fear in the upcoming AFC Champions League Round 16 clash against two-time champions Guangzhou Evergrande.

"Evergrande are an experienced team in the Champions League. On the contrary, we are the debutants in this tournament. Maybe it's one of our advantages, we can went into the game with no burden," said the former Leicester manager in English Premier League.

"But we also have the ambition and strong desire to win," Sousa added.

Sousa took the reigns of Quanjian last November from Italian coach Fabio Cannavaro, who guided the team to the runners-up in their first season at the Chinese top flight last year. The 2006 World Cup winner now will lead Evergrande to play against his former club.

"I am quite familiar with Quanjian as most of their players are in the team when I was managing the club last year," Cannavaro said. "I know they're capable players, so I know they can make trouble for us."

"Although we will play away match tomorrow, a draw will not satisfy us and we will fight for the victory."

The two sides have met in the domestic league five weeks ago, when Evergrande edged off Quanjian 1-0 away. Sousa's side have maintained a three-game unbeaten run in the Champions League campaign.
