MUMBAI, May 9 (Xinhua) -- Indian markets closed higher Wednesday. The market has gathered some strength now, with the Sensex rising over 100 points.
A turnaround in banking names has brought about this rise in the market, which was already witnessing support from metals and IT names.
The benchmark S&P BSE Sensex closed at 35,319.35, 103.03 point or 0.29 percent up compared to its previous close at 35,216.32.
