Canadian stock market rising

TORONTO, May 9 (Xinhua) -- Canadian's main stock market rose Wednesday as oil prices rose in the wake of the decision of U.S. President Donald Trump pulling out of a nuclear deal with Iran.

The Toronto Stock Exchange's benchmark Standard & Poor's/TSX Composite Index rose 68.10 points, or 0.43 percent, to close the day at 15,910.81.

The Canadian dollar was up to 0.77.78 U.S. dollar.

The biggest gainer was Enbridge, which jumped 13.2 points. Energy group was the top sector contributor, with 32.8 points added to the index.

Leading the increasing index were Maxar Technologies, Spin Master Corp and MEG Energy Corp, which went up 14.3 percent, 7.3 percent and 7.2 percent respectively. Enditem
