CHANGCHUN, China, May 12 (Xinhua) -- Ghanaian striker Frank Acheampong scored in the closing period here on Saturday to earn Tianjin Teda first away victory this seson after beating Changchun Yatai 1-0 in the Chinese Super League.

"Our players are too nervous in the first half, making some mistakes. I told them to be confident on the pitch in the break. We played better in the second, and grabbed the chance to score a goal," Teda's head coach Ulrich Stielike said.

The only goal of the game came in the 80th minute when Acheampong hit the net after a wonderful one-two with Mai Tijiang. It was the Ghanaian international's eighth goal of the season.

"We played our strategy today, but we should carry on the momentum in the next round," the 24-year-old said.

The hosts team Yatai had twice more shot attempts than their rivals, but failed to convert any goal from their 14 shots.
