GAZA, May 14 (Xinhua) -- Israeli war jets fighters carried out on Monday afternoon an airstrike on a Hamas military facility in northern Gaza Strip, with no injuries reported, according to Hamas armed wing and paramedics.
Hamas armed wing al-Qassam Brigades said in a short text message to reporters that Israeli war jets struck the military facility in northern Gaza Strip with three missiles.
The Israeli airstrike on Hamas military facility in northern Gaza Strip was an Israeli response to the Palestinian attempts of cutting the fence of the border between eastern Gaza Strip and Israel and infiltrating inside Israel's territories.
Ashraf al-Qedra, spokesman of the health ministry in Gaza said that at least 41 Palestinian demonstrators were killed and about 1,700 others wounded.
Eyewitnesses said that Palestinian demonstrators cut the barbed wire of the border fences between eastern Gaza Strip and Israel and managed to enter into Israel. The demonstrators burned tires inside Israel after infiltrating inside.
