RIYADH, May 14 (Xinhua) -- Saudi Arabia strongly condemned the massacre of unarmed Palestinians by Israeli forces on Monday, Saudi Press Agency reported.
The Saudi Ministry of Foreign Affairs expressed in a statement its support for the Palestinians to assert their legitimate rights in accordance with the international resolutions and the Arab Peace Initiative.
It also called for the cessation of violence between Palestinians and Israelis.
Israeli killing on Monday came in response to Palestinians' mass protests against the relocation of the U.S. embassy to Jerusalem.
Last December, U.S. President Donald Trump announced his recognition of Jerusalem as the capital of Israel, and ordered the relocation of U.S. Embassy in Israel to the disputed holy city.
