TUNIS, May 15 (Xinhua) -- Tunisian economy recorded GDP growth of 2.5 percent in the first quarter of 2018, compared to the same period of last year, said Zied Laadhari, Tunisian Minister of Investment, Development and International Cooperation during a press conference Tuesday.

The growth reflects a real resuscitation of Tunisia's national economy, based on vital parameters including agriculture, marketed services and manufacturing industries, commented Laadhari.

The first quarter of this year shows a growth of 2.4 percent in manufacturing industries, 3.3 percent in the service sector and 11.9 percent in the agriculture-fishing sector.

The first quarter of this year also shows a decline of 5.3 percent in non-manufacturing industries. Enditem
