KUNMING, May 18 (Xinhua) -- A regular sea-and-rail transit route linking Kunming, capital of southwest China's Yunnan Province, and Singapore started operation on Friday.

A freight train loaded with fertilizer and coffee beans left Kunming for Qinzhou port in neighboring Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, where the cargo will depart by ship to Singapore.
