GU'AN, May 19 (Xinhuanet) -- Chinese company Visionox launched its first 6th-generation flexible AMOLED display screen production line on Thursday in Gu’an County in north China’s Hebei Province.
The production line is located in the Gu'an New Industry City, which is operated by China Fortune Land Development Co. Ltd (CFLD).
The designed capacity of this production line is 30,000 glass substrates per month, which can meet the demands for nearly 100 million smartphones for high-end screens.
It only takes 573 days from the start of construction to the launching of the production line and the production line is expected to start mass production in the second half of the year.
Chinese firms previously relied heavily on imports for high-end display products, such as curved and foldable screens.
