Three continental taekwondo tournaments to be held in Vietnam's HCM City

HO CHI MINH CITY, May 21 (Xinhua) -- The 23rd Asian Taekwondo Championships, the 5th Asian Taekwondo Poomsae Championships and the 4th Asian Para-Taekwondo Open Championships are set to take place here on May 24-28.

The three continental taekwondo tournaments will draw the participation of nearly 700 athletes from 50 countries and regions, including China, South Korea, Iran and Thailand, the Vietnam Taekwondo Federation announced on Monday.

Vietnamese athletes will use the tournaments as preparation for the upcoming 18th Asian Games slated for August in Indonesia. Enditem
