MADRID, May 24 (Xinhua) -- Spanish shares dropped on Thursday, with the benchmark stock market index Ibex-35 down 0.29 percent, or 29 points, to close at 9,996 points.
A total of 25 of the 35 selected large companies lost in the day.
Spain's third-largest bank Caixabank lost 2.40 percent, followed by real estate company Inmobiliaria Colonial and stainless steel manufacturer Acerinox that went down 1.47 percent and 1.44 percent respectively.
World leading retailer Inditex advanced 3.32 percent, being the top gainer of the day. Telecommunication company Cellnex rose 2.44 percent and supermarket chain DIA was up 0.90 percent. Enditem
