SINGAPORE, May 25 (Xinhua) -- Singaporean stocks closed lower on Friday, as the benchmark Straits Times Index (STI) went down 0.44 percent or 15.69 points to close at 3,513.23.
A total of 1.50 billion shares changed hands with a turnover of 1.03 billion Singapore dollars (about 772.6 million U.S. dollars). Losers outnumbered gainers by 219 to 159.
The STI index closed up 0.93 percent or 32.65 points to close at 3,528.92 Thursday.
