BEIJING, May 25 (Xinhua) -- State Councilor Zhao Kezhi Friday told counter-terrorism officials to fully implement major policies made by the central leadership and raise the anti-terrorism campaigns to a new scale.

The authorities will enhance intelligence work against terrorism and contain infiltration and spread of terrorism and religious extremism, said Zhao, also chief of a national anti-terrorism leading group, at a national anti-terrorism conference held here.

The country will maintain serious crackdown and high-level deterrence over terrorism, and close security loopholes, he said.

He stressed international cooperation and continuous efforts to curb extremism so as to destroy the breeding ground of terrorism.

He also required clear division of duties and efficient delivery of policies.
