PARIS, May 25 (Xinhua) -- French shares lost on Friday, with the benchmark Paris CAC 40 down 0.11 percent, or 5.90 points, to close at 5,542.55 points.
Of the 40 selected large companies, 15 lost in the day.
UK-based company that provides complete project life cycle services TechnipFMC was down 3.06 percent, the top loser of the blue chips. French multinational retailer CARREFOUR lost 1.78 percent. French multinational mirror manufacturer COMPAGNIE DE SAINT-GOBAIN lost 1.50 percent.
French company that produces distilled beverages PERNOD RICARD rose 1.68 percent. French-Italian multinational electronics and semiconductor manufacturer STMICROELECTRONICS gained 1.58 percent. French food services and facilities management company SODEXO up 1.29 percent. Enditem
