GAZA, May 28 (Xinhua) -- One Palestinian was killed and another injured on Monday in an Israeli tank shelling on military facilities that belong to Islamic Hamas movement in northern Gaza Strip, medics said.

Ashraf al-Qedra, Gaza's health ministry spokesperson, confirmed that 25-year-old Mohamed al-Radee'a was killed and another one injured in the fresh Israeli army shelling near northern Gaza Strip town of Beit Lahia.

On Sunday, three Islamic Jihad militants were killed in another Israeli tank shelling on eastern Gaza Strip after a bomb detonated under the fence of the border with Israel.

Earlier Monday, al-Qedra said that Nasser al-Arini, 28, died of his wounds he sustained several days ago during protests and clashes with Israeli soldiers at the border.

He said that the death toll since the outbreak of the rallies and protests that the Palestinians call the "Great March of Return" has risen to 117 killed and 14,190 injured.

The rallies broke out on March 30, as the organizers and leaders of Hamas, the Islamic movement that rules the Gaza Strip, stressed that their goals are to defy an Israeli blockade that has been imposed on the Gaza Strip for 11 years.

Medical officials said there are 300 injured who are still in serious condition since March 30.
