FRANKFURT, May 28 (Xinhua) -- German shares lost on Monday, with the benchmark DAX index down 74.55 points, or 0.58 percent, to close at 12,863.46 points.
German multinational chemical and pharmaceutical company Bayer lost the most among the blue chips, down by 3.33 percent, followed by automotive manufacturer Volkswagen and chemical group BASF, which lost 1.73 percent and 1.27 percent respectively.
German airlines Lufthansa, energy group RWE and sportswear and equipment maker Adidas were the top three winners, rising 1.35 percent, 0.97 percent and 0.82 percent respectively.
Bayer was the most traded share of the day with a turnover of 210.66 million euros (245.29 million U.S. dollars). Enditem
