PARIS, June 13 (Xinhua) -- French shares closed almost flat on Wednesday, with the benchmark Paris CAC 40 down 0.01 percent, or 0.64 points, to close at 5,452.73 points.
Nineteen of the 40 selected large companies gained in the day. French-Italian multinational electronics and semiconductor manufacturer Stmicroelectronics soared 4.42 percent, becoming the biggest bluechip winner.
French food services and facilities management company Sodexo advanced 1.42 percent. French personal care company L'oreal rose by 1.35 percent.
French tyre manufacturer Michelin lost 1.92 percent, becoming the biggest loser among the blue chips.
